Build 1.0.3.14 Released (New Features)

Post by Cubert »

Released today is build 1.0.3.14 of Patch Remedy,

We have updated the maintenance script in the version and also added a new exclude feature to allow you to better control what systems are included in Patch remedy scans and data views.

If you want to exclude part of a client, a location or just a computer you now can with the new Client Excluded tool for Patch Remedy.

Found on the Client Console Tab Select 1 or more locations or computers to exclude from the Patch Remedy processes and views

Want to quickly exclude just 1 system without leaving the Patch Remedy console? Right Click the system in the Patch Percentages view to add that system to the excluded systems.

Thanks Shannon, this fixed my 2 problems.

I have 1 PC that's not showing the latest version, it's still showing 1.0.3.10

Version 1.0.3.14 is showing as installed in plugin manager and I get that version if I log in from a different PC.

Is there a cache that needs clearing for CC?

Thanks,

Steve

Yes, this is a common problem with the LT console not updating the plugin DLLs.

To fix goto c:\programdata\labtechplugins\servername

and delete the server named folder you are connecting to. You may have 2 or more folders here one being a netbios name of LT server and one a FQDN of LT server. You can safely remove both and they will rebuild on next connection with latest plugins versions.

That's sorted it. Thanks.

Excluding a location seems to not be working correctly.

When I check the box to exclude a location and click "Save" above it, the box changes to unchecked and no changes are made. On the same page, if I check all of the machines at a location and then click "Save" those boxes remain checked and the box for that location also becomes checked.
I'm guessing I should be able to exclude all the machines at a location with 1 check. If so, it's not working.

Well gives me reason to go ahead and put in Windows 7 rollup as the new default for automatic fix for WUA on Windows 7 and 2008

We just posted up build 1.0.3.16 which has the (fat fingered) fix for locations in it and added an update to automated updates to push Windows 7/2008R2 June Rollup KB3161608 during automated WUA updates.
