Setting installation parameters for individual packages

Post by MichaelChubb »

Hello,

When using the Habitat Application Manager (Chocolatey), can installation parameters be set for an individual package?

For example, the predefined Postman package installs to AppData (in the case of Automate, the system profile AppData). Normally, the --allusers parameter would be set to prevent this.

This isn’t the only case — it’s just one example of a parameter that might need to be applied.

Thanks,
Mike

Yes you can set an extra parameter to the install of a package by adding the param to the "Package path". You can provide slightly different APP names so that you can have different varances of the same application that then can be approved at the client level.
