What's new in Build 1.0.1.61
We have updated the Windows Defender plugin to 1.0.5 and added it to the Habitat tool lineup. Defender for Automate is now included in your Habitat subscriptions!
Microsoft’s Defender is pretty good at detecting malware files, blocking exploits and network-based attacks, and flagging phishing sites. It even includes simple PC performance and health reports as well as parental controls with content filtering, usage limitations, and location tracking.
Defender For Automate
Plugins4Automate's Windows Defender plugin was designed to allow you to fully manage and maintain Windows Defender in a MSP environment. From standard monitoring of signatures and engine/service versions to live status health of Windows Defender across each client under management.
You will find the management tool under your client consoles.
Updated to Habitat are automatic if enabled and will happen overnight, otherwise you will need to download the plugin from our repository and update the plugin manually. If you are doing a manual update , do not forget to restart the DBagent.

Re: Release Build 1.0.1.61 "The Defender Release"
Sounds like maybe the Tables in the Automate database are not created yet or permissions for table not applied.
This happens automaticlly when the DBagent service is restarted in Automate.
Your Habitat if set to allow, should of updated last night to 1.0.1.62 and would of restarted the DBagent along with replacing the current script with build 1.0.6
This adds Windows Firewall functionality to Windows Defender plugin.
This is what you should be seeing:
Online agents should process script and return data to Automate. If this is not happening then post some screenshots of the plugin with agent selected and any script and command logs provided and I will see whats going on.

Thanks, not seeing errors anymore.
Re: Release Build 1.0.1.61 "The Defender Release"
Can the Defender services be added to the Habitat Control Center "Automated Services Manager", so these scripts and services can be easily disabled and enabled? For MSPs with thousands of agents, it's crucial to be able to toggle these services and their scripts on and off when slimming down the tens of thousands of running Habitat scripts, or during performance troubleshooting, which is a regular occurrence with the hosted version of Automate. Thanks.
Re: Release Build 1.0.1.61 "The Defender Release"
It sure can, I'll push that out along with any other new services that need the same attention in the next release,
I should also add a ability to enable plugin by client so you can run some clients and not others,

Re: Release Build 1.0.1.61 "The Defender Release"
Ok released 1.0.1.63 which should auto update tonight.
Adds VMwear, Chocolatey and Defender services to Habitat Service Manager. I also updated the tabs created at the client ands location consoles for any Habitat service that is disabled.
So if you disable Windows Defender Service in Habitat then the tab for Windows Defender disapears. Enable the Service and tab will return. This goes for all sevices where a tab may be present. Should help declutter the Client and Location consoles from unused tabs.
