Active Hours

Post by Cubert »

Windows Update Active Hours is a feature that helps users manage when their device restarts after an update.

Instead of the Windows OS automatically rebooting at any time, Active Hours lets you define a time range when you're typically using your computer. During these hours, Windows avoids automatic restarts for updates, ensuring your work isn't interrupted. By default, Windows may automatically adjust Active Hours based on usage patterns, but users can manually set a specific timeframe. For example, if you usually work between 9 AM and 6 PM, you can set Active Hours accordingly, preventing unexpected reboots during that period.

Use the management tool to adjust or remove the Active Hours for any Windows agent WIndows 10 or greater.
