ESXi Health monitor plug-in not detecting server RAID controller battery/cache module failure on HP proliant server

Post by mspguyoi »

Greetings!,

We are experiencing an issue where we have an HP Proliant server running ESXi that reports via iLO/vSphere that there is an issue with the cache module/Battery but the CIM data isn't showing the issue.

Here are some screenshots that show the issue.
Hardware Error Shown in ESXi vSphere Client

HP iLO showing failed component

CIM data showing all is okay

Is there a log we can check to see what is being polled and not reporting correctly or what can be done to address this?

Thanks in advance.

Yea,

Have the probe agent run the following at the command line.. Change for your needs.

viewtopic.php?t=5532

This will spit out the raw cim data we get...

Post the cim dump here
