New Plugin Script Function -> Automate Uptime

Post by Cubert »

So you have a hosted Automate server and every time you think you have a slow system you call over to CW support. Then you sit in a queue or wait for a ticket response to have the server looked at and or rebooted.

How about being able to see at anytime what OS your Automate host is running and the current uptime?

Now you can:

We provided the tool but you will need to create the script to get the data or cause a reboot.

The Plugin Script Function is called Automate Uptime and can be passed a number (represented in days) to test against uptime. If the uptime exceeds the value provided it will force a reboot of the automate host.

Here is how we would use script function.
Create a new script. something like the script we have below.

Set The script function parameter1 to the number of days the Automate host is allowed to be up before a reboot is executed.

Now execute the script once on any (1 )agent and see the script log output to see you Automat Hosts uptime and OS type.

You might find your Automate host is still on Windows server 2012 and hasn't rebooted in months.
