Hey!
I've been trying to use Habitat's Upgrade Assistant to run W10>W11 upgrades across a couple machines. I first attempted to run it on one machine that I was signed into to test what it would look like for a user. I never got prompted to accept the update or EULA but it looks like the update started anyways (not that it being silent is the issue). I've been waiting for a couple hours and it seems the machine has just been sitting there since I left it (no reboots or prompts).
Does anyone have any idea how long this normally takes? It says that Win10Upgrade is still running. I'm curious if I'm supposed to take any action while it's doing this, such as reboot the machine.
Issues with W11 Upgrade
Re: Issues with W11 Upgrade
These updates are kinda tricky, someone should be logged into the desktop PC so when script executes it launches update under that user. The reason for this is to allow the EULA that pops up to be accepted by user of desktop.
This is a requirment of Windows 11, that user accepts the license. If you launch without user, then it will attempt a install passing the accept flag but typically fails , sitting at a prompt to accept for a blind user [SYSTEM], the user the agent is running under.

Re: Issues with W11 Upgrade
Brutal, I was really hoping for a silent upgrade. That's alright, although I'm still not getting any prompts to accept when I am logged in to the machine, and the upgrade ends up never taking place.

Re: Issues with W11 Upgrade
i know that this post was back in 2024, but now in April of 2025, have we devised a way to not have to have a user logged into a machine to upgrade to Windows 11 from Windows 10?
How is the Habitat Windows Upgrade Assistant different than the stand-alone Patch Remedy 5? When i used this a couple of years (1-2) ago I thought i remember that I was able to update to Windows 11 without the user having to login and things seems to have just "worked with PRv5.
