Hello,

What are the minimum required ESXi permissions for the ESX Health Monitor to work properly? We were previously using a user with root/administrator permissions, but if possible, I would like to pare this down.

Not sure,

You would need to create a local user that could access CIM services.

I would get the "how to manually test probe" forum post and use the command line request to test different user permissions until I got one to work.
