Feature Request for Windows 10 Upgrades

Post by heroictech »

I'd like to request a feature specific to the new Windows 10 upgrade functionality.

We have a good number of PCs with Bitlocker enabled and have found we need to suspend Bitlocker prior to performing Win 10 upgrades. It would be great if we could have the ability to select a script that is run prior to the execution of the Win10 upgrade process. I believe the built-in LabTech patch manager has options to run scripts before/after patching, so this would work in the same way. We could then use our own script to suspend Bitlocker prior to the upgrade to improve the likelihood of success.

Thanks!

What is involved with that suspension? We are looking for all reasons for failures so we can add in selectable options to turn on functions to manage those environmental issues.

By the way feature request do work!

We got a request to allow the copy to happen locally to agent from network share and with 1.0.4.27 you can!

Plugins4Automate has added some new improvements to the Windows 10 Upgrade services and the latest round of WUA updates from April 2018 now get deployed.

Excellent, we were actually going to inquire about an option to download to agent for road warriors, thanks!

Bitlocker can be suspended on the C: drive via CMD or Powershell as shown in method 2 and 3 on the below link.

Thanks again for considering this request.

I'd like to ask for the following:

On the Windows 10 Upgrade list:

* Add the location along with the client name
* Add the current Windows 10 version

Also an upvote for proper numeric sorting on the various lists in the plugin.

Thanks,

Jason

Ok 1.0.4.30 is released, adding the Windows 10 version as a column to that view.
