Released Build 2.0.1.91 (Testsing)

Post by Cubert »

Chocolatey users, we are testing build .91 to see how it performs before general release. The 2.0.1.9x strain is having a lot of back end work being done to better the operations of the product.

Here is what we done so far.

---Build 2.0.1.90---
Added feature for auto updates to select whether or not to force the updates. In previous versions we just forced this setting which caused bandwidth issues for larger agent deployments on slower networks.
Updated the auto plugin updater to work with new services.

--- Build 2.0.1.91 ---
Added feature to automated services to check systems for excessive executing commands first and to abort if found.
Updated Choco Versions Graph to exclude any non numerical data received during version queries. This was causing Java pop up errors from time to time for some people.

In Build .91 we have added a new set of functions to measure the executing commands of an agent we are about to manage. If the agent is showing signs of excessive commands executing we will now abort any operation during the current cycle (skipping). We did this to help with not adding to the agents issues by sending multiple commands to an agent that maybe already having issues.

The reason for a testing release is we need some feedback if anyone finds a significant performance hit in the form of "nothing ever getting done" due to all the skipping. We are looking at adding in a control to set the threshold for a skip which might make this a mute issue.
