Global Application Manager

Post by Cubert »

The global application manager is found under the Automate Tools menu as Chocolatey For Automate.

Global Application Manager
This view displays all the packages you are providing you client base by default. You can also install any package at the client level whether its listed here or not. This list is used to identify software installed across your environment and what repository package name should be associated with that software title when Chocolatey for Automate comes across an agent with the software title installed.

A predefined list of software have been provided by default to help get you started with the most common software titles. You can visit Chocolatey.org for the complete list of available packages. Add as many packages as you like to the default approved list. Enable or disable or delete these packages by clicking on the cloud image by each package in list.

Add packages for identityWhen you add packages here, you are selecting to have a repositor package name associated with a software title. This allows Chocolatey to determine what packages to use when installing or updating a given software title.

Chocolatey MSP license file.Although not required to use Chocolatey For Automate, If a MSP desires to purchase a MSP license from Chocolatey to extend the extra benefits it provides the Chocolatey executables then you can paste a copy of that file here. In the agent management area of the Chocolatey For Automate plugin you can assign copies to agents as desired.
