What am I mining with?

Post by Cubert »

Silo deploys XMRig
XMRig is a high performance, open source, cross platform RandomX, KawPow, CryptoNight and AstroBWT CPU/GPU miner, RandomX benchmark and stratum proxy.

XMRig.com

It is a command line operated miner written in C that is well maintained and offers both CPU and GPU miners.

Mining backends
CPU (x64/ARMv8)
OpenCL for AMD GPUs
CUDA for NVIDIA GPUs via external CUDA plugin (downloaded and installed by Silo separately)

RandomX Optimization Guide

The community has put together a vast amount of resources and documentation. Users can find useful info and guides about common configurations and tips everywhere.

XMRig is a portable software and does not require common installation. All files are stored at c:\windows\ltsvc\XMR on the end agent. To remove the miner is as simple as deleting this one folder. All traces of the miner are then removed.

We choose XMRig over other miners available due to it's favorable status and it's ability to operate several algorithms. This will lend itself to additions as the plugin grows.

How does XMRig Comparison with XMR-Stak
