Cubert wrote: ↑Wed Jun 10, 2020 12:40 pm Can you try to schedule a update or two and let it fail.
Then right after that go grab the C:\ProgramData\LabTech Client\Log\{currentdate}_LTcErrors.txt and post it here.
We are looking for a SQL error to be present in file pretty much at the very bottom of file. Or at least we hope..
What do you mean to let it fail?
Here is what i did, i schedule the update for a later time and wait for it, nothing happens, no script ran, the Last Run field did not update.
I still tried to collect the log but the Labtech Client folder is not present, only this:
First Issue, How to fix a Control Center not showing latest version.
This is a typical issues users may have when the Automate host has been updated but fails to push down the new plugin to Control center.
To fix: Open a file explorer on the Tech workstation where control center is installed. Browse to C:\ProgramData\LabTechPlugins\ and remove all sub folders and files.
Close and relaunch the control center, log in as normal and it will rebuild the subfolder with latest plugin files.
If Host has failed to update then you can manually download the update from our web portal and using the plugin manager in Automate update the plugin. Then close and reopen all control centers to get fresh plugin updates.
As for logs we are looking for:
This would not be on the agent your trying to schedule but on the control center for which your working from.
this is the log location of the control center, when you execute a function in a plugin and it fails or blows up it should have some entry here for the failure. Typically you see SQL errors here.
We need you to try a schedule, in your case it will fail which should result in a log if the plugin failed the function.
C:\ProgramData\LabTech Client\Log\{currentdate}_LTcErrors.txt
So push a schedule on a agent for sometime in the same day and they grab this file afterwards and post it here.
We will look at it to see if in the last few moments of the log there was some error from Habitat. This would be when you executed the scheduling function.

Re: Windows Upgrade Assistant - Run Now and Schedule not working
I was able to fix the version mismatch using your procedure. Thanks,
I scheduled an update for the same day, i checked after some time and the upgrade did not run, still showing under Schedule field and not in the Last Run Field
See attach file for the log

Re: Windows Upgrade Assistant - Run Now and Schedule not working
I'm having trouble scheduling as well. Nothing gets put in that log file after scheduling an update for me. Seems that If I hit upgrade now though, it actually schedules the update, and the script runs. I'm needing to run updates late at night and would rather not have to login to automate at that time and push them manually.
Re: Windows Upgrade Assistant - Run Now and Schedule not working
W are see some script scheduling issues we are working on. This looks to be effected by same issues. New release will be out shortly

Re: Windows Upgrade Assistant - Run Now and Schedule not working
We are working it, I expecting a release out by next Wednesday.
Re: Windows Upgrade Assistant - Run Now and Schedule not working
Build 1.0.0.47 has been released and has resolved the issues with the scheduler. You should now be successful when scheduling agents for updates.
Auto updates should upgrade habitat tonight. You can get it sooner by logging into our web portal with you subscription account and the downloads should be available under manage subscriptions.

Re: Windows Upgrade Assistant - Run Now and Schedule not working
I just setup some policies to do windows upgrade and I am also having this same issue.
Upgrade now seems to work without issue.
Scheduling upgrades does not
I am running build 1.0.0.54 of Habitat.
I don't see anything related to Habitat in the LTcErrors.txt

Re: Windows Upgrade Assistant - Run Now and Schedule not working
Please verify if it is scheduling or scripting failing.
Set a schedule and when schedule passes look at the agents script logs during the scheduled time to see if the Windows Update script was scheduler to run and did it complete with a failure.
This will let us know if your having issues with automation or update process.
