As of Patch Remedy 1.0.5.17 the automated agent scanning function has be redesigned to now work as a Master Group. As a Master Group, you can edit how and when the group is scanned allowing you to manage the resources of the plugin.
When a client or agent is enabled for Patch Remedy they get joined to the Master Group "Patch Remedy". This is done through a custom search that looks for agents EDF for Patch Remedy to be enabled for scanning. The search auto joins the agent to the master group. Auto joins take about 6 to 12 minutes to happen once EDF is selected or checkbox in plugin is selected. Both checkboxes are joined together as one.
If you edit the Group and select the computer/scheduled scripts tabs, you will find the schedule for the agent scans. Select the current script schedule to edit it. By default the script runs daily and will spread out script execution across enabled agents over a 12 hour interval. This should spread the load of the Patch Remedy scans over a wide enough time slot to keep most MSPs running smoothly. In some cases a MSP may want to either speed up scans, adjust scan window or reschedule scans to one or more times a week. This will effect how quickly an agent starts reporting patch data back to Patch Remedy.
