We also had alerts from Bitdefender and removing WirelessNetView.exe
new features deploying stuff should need to be enabled manually, we definitely do not want all our customer affected be fals malware alerts

Addons like this really should be added in the off state first, and turned on if desired.
this caused a tremendous amount of issues for clients with dod contracts, and compliance needs, and should not have been pushed out turned on at all.
I did see the update where it is now in the off position, but that doesn't help with the fact that for 30 days we scanned home, client, restuarant, etc. networks.
I took the following steps,
turned the scanner off at the habitat manager level.
truncated the tables created by the scanner
had multiple meetings with my upper level management to find out how we as a company need to address this moving forward.

We apologize for causing you mischief and aggravation with your environment. It is our policy to release tools is an inert state so as not to unwantedly cause issues with your environments. This tool was also not to be released activated but got over looked during the first release. Once it was brought to our attention it was quickly corrected and rereleased same day for auto update but not quick enough to prevent the tool from doing what it was designed to do.
Since this incident, our policy check list has been updated to include this check in particular has been done before releases are approved.
We understand that the environments we support are critical to the operation of the owners businesses and the clients they support. Having new operations just starting without warning and/or knowledge of their existence is unacceptable.
Moving forward we will make sure all operation are deployed in the off position across all plugins.
