Disabled until Maintenance has run

Hi,

when adding computer to choclatey we always see the message: This feature is disabled until chocolatey maintenace has run.
We reduced the maintenance to run every hour, but it´s still teh same.
How can we fix this?

The reason for the message is the framework for Chocolatey has yet to be installed so there is no control of chocolatey yet.

The bigger question is why is the framework not installing for you.

Either the agent was disabled somewhere in the chain of the plugin (global, client, location or agent) or agent offline during every maintenance run (unlikely) or Maintenance is failing / not scheduling.

So the first thing we want to look at is the script logs for the agent.

This will tell you if it is failing or succeeding and what messages were returned with the result.

It looks like we got banned from choclatey.org:

Error 1006 Ray ID: 651e793c794ad463
Access Denied / Possible Temporary Block Due to Excessive Use (Your Action Required)

For some time we set mainteanance to every hour, now it´s back to 24h hours, but teh ban still is in place.

How can we fix this?

We started using Habitat as well and the 3rd party patching was enabled on our internal client.
Is it possible, that our ban on chocolatey was caused by Habitat and this issue is just a follow up?

This could very well be.

We are actively working on this banning issue in the next builds of Habitat (1.0.0.75+) And will be looking to add to Chocolatey after Habitat shows that this resolves the issues.

I disabled Habitat and the ban is gone.

But we still have the issue with chocolatey waiting for the maintenance.

Looks like we still get banned.
I disabled Habitat 3rd party for clients and servers und set all chocolatey maintenance to 24h. What do we need to do to get rid of that ban?

We are about to release 1.0.0.75 that adds in several new features to help prevent banning. With the long holiday weekend behind us we should be able to get this out to you all this week.
